Install the HR Solution

Objective

This page takes you through the process of installing your HR for Dynamics solution on your newly created Environment.

If this is your first time doing this, we recommend you watch the Walkthrough Video at the bottom of this page first.

Process

Download HR for Dynamics solution installer in Customer Portal
System Admin
Install HR for Dynamics Solution incl. Base Data

Prerequisites

  • You have System Admin rights when running the installer
  • You have access to the Customer Portal for downloads and guides (two users were invited by us) - More information: Customer Portal
  • Correctly set up an Environment with a base Language of English, German or French
  • Optional, if you want to use it: You should already have set up Multifactor Authentication for your generic admin user

Click Through

  • Navigate to the Customer Portal
  • Log in with your Customer Portal credentials
  • Click on Downloads
  • Click on Download Solution Installer incl. Base Data to start the download
  • Open the downloaded file (this may take a few seconds)
  • In the pop-up window, choose a destination folder for the software on your computer
  • Click Install
  • After a few seconds, the Package Deployer opens. Click on Continue
  • Fill the necessary fields:
    • Employment Type: Office 365
    • Make sure the checkmark for "Sign in as current user" is not checked
    • Check the checkmark for "Display list of available organizations"
    • Check the checkmark for "Show Advanced"
    • Online Region: Select whichever applies to you. If unsure, keep it on "Don't Know"
    • Fill the User Name and Password of the admin account you created in the previous step
  • Click on Login
  • On the next page, select the Environment you created in the previous step
  • Click on Login
  • Select which version you want to install:
    • HR for Dynamics Installer will install the complete HR for Dynamics solution. Most customers outside of Germany will want to choose this option
    • HR for Dynamics Installer with Base Data for German Labor office will install the complete HR for Dynamics solution plus the Base data needed if you plan to ever publish Job Advertisements via the German Labor Office
  • Click on Next
  • Check if the option shown really is the one you want to install
  • Click Next
  • Check the organization's Unique Name shown to make sure the Solution will be installed in the correct environment
    • Check this tutorial to learn where you can find your Environment's Unique Name
  • Click Next
  • After the validation process is complete, click Next
  • The solution is now being installed. This may take a few hours, depending on the size of your system.

After finishing this process, the HR for Dynamics solution incl. Base Data is installed. Next, proceed to download and install the additional background automations for HR for Dynamics, called Flows.
